Leaving his family behind to pursue survival, Pablo Aguirre, came to the US in the 80s. Later on and after working in the field of dreams (strawberries fields of California), moved up north with his family to Virginia. With limited savings opened the first Restaurant, El Puerto (the Port) named after his Hometown El Puerto of Santa Catarina, Jalisco Mexico. El Puerto opened the first of many Restaurants in the city of Blacksburg VA in 1990.
